Introduction
    The scenarios of social norms for communities and people have been drastically changed over the course of past two decades. Based on some of the basic issues with the safety and protection of the young adults, the professional social care workers tend to entertain the needs and expectations of the diverse families with complicated needs where the population of vulnerable young adults is higher than other communities (Sohn et al, 2018). These young adults are prone to various types of sexual abuses and their knowledge is at nominal level to understand the types of abuses and how they are expected to defend and develop the personal protection sphere against it. The following paper examines the roles and strategies that these support workers are expected to ca
y out in the context of promoting awareness in young adults that are on the risk level of sexual abuse or exploitation.
Understanding Sexual Exploitation and Abuse
    At first, it is significant to note here that the sexual abuse or exploitation may take through many ways and young adults should have proper knowledge to defend themselves at physical or emotional level (Toon, 2019). The exploitation can be of two kinds namely, it can be physical or it can be mental abuse in terms of forcing these young adults in sexual practices. When it comes to physical abuse based on sexual activity, it is the enticing of certain acts that necessarily involve force or external pressure on children or young adults. This force can be in the form of penetration either sexual or oral. For example, activities of rape or forced oral sex are the types of sexual abuse. Based on the approach of the abuser, the young adults may or may not have proper knowledge of what is done to them.
    Many children and teenagers are unaware that they have been sexually abused; a child may not understand what is happening or even that it is wrong, especially if the perpetrator tries to prevent disclosure by threatening them, telling them they will not be believed, or holding them responsible for their own abuse. It may be feasible to establish patterns of refe
als or presentations to different organisations in their local community over time if sexual abuse is being perpetrated on one or more family members. There are a variety of indications, but not all of them indicate that a youngster is being sexually assaulted.
Potential Sources of Origin of Sexual Abuse
    In the context of the above, it is perceived that the knowledge of the sexual activity is the first standpoint in developing the frameworks against sexual exploitation in young adults. In families where conventional norms are applied, the young adults are prohibited to take part in any of the knowledge activities linked to the understanding of how their genitals work or how the reproductive system of humans functions (Moore et al, 2018). In other words, children and young adults are often refrained from the healthy knowledge sharing on behalf of the adults in their families such as parents or the
other or sisters who are ma
ied. Thus, most of the times, the sexual assault cases are not reported due to the lack of knowledge of the young adults as they are not aware that the kind of activity performed on them is illegal and legally offensive to their dignity and physical wellbeing (Ng, Q. X et al, 2018).
    An example of the above can be given as the communities like Islamic ones living with their traditional ideologies. Girls in these families are now permitted to know about the sexual process of developing male and female identities. Most often, such matters are understood as sensitive and especially for girls, taking part in such activities is strictly prohibited (Toon, 2019).
