Assessment 5: Individual Written Essay (40%) (FINAL ASSESSMENT)

This assessment is designed to build on the knowledge and learnings you have gained from previous assessments. For this task, students are required to submit a written essay responding to one of the following questions:
• What are some strategies and approaches a worker could use to improve relationships in a family characterized by multiple and complex needs to prevent a young person from requiring placement in out-of-home care?
• What are some strategies and approaches a worker could use to support a young person who is involved in criminal activities and is at risk of becoming more involved in the Youth Justice system?
• What are some strategies and approaches a worker could use to increase the safety of a young person who is at risk of sexual exploitation and abuse?
• What are some strategies and approaches a worker could use to support a young person living in the child protection out-of-home care system?
Note: This assessment is NOT a response to the case study you responded to in the previous assessment. For this assessment, students are required to write an essay providing a general
oad response to one of the above questions. Your essay should include at least 12 (scholarly) journal articles read, in addition to any textbook references. The format and content of your essay will be discussed in greater detail during tutorials. Do NOT utilize sources such as www.tutor2u.com and other such web materials as these in no way constitute academic references for the purpose of your assignments. If you rely on such sources for theoretical support, you will be deemed NOT to have met the requirements of the assessment.
