People engage in philanthropy for a number of reasons but it all mostly comes down to personal beliefs. Some people believe that the life of every human is equal and worth saving and hence engage in philanthropy like Zell Kravinsky. Some others think that since they have money, they can and must give it to those who do not have it. It makes sense to them to help people and avoid seeing them in pain like Thomas Ho
es.
The motivation of these people might interest people around them, however, to those in need, these motivations don’t matter since they are more interested in getting help regardless of the intention.
