of healthcare organizations. In this assignment, you will report on one such 
organization. (Do not use CMS quality reports.) The facilitator will assign each 
student one of the following organizations. (Note: If you do not have access to

Describe the intended audience for the quality reports. Is there a fee to

Assess the validity or reliability of this service. If there is any 
difficulty in assessing, comment on it. 
Describe your overall impression of the organization, the service, and the 
usefulness of the Web site. Does your impression change if you think from the 
perspective of a consumer instead of a provider?

The assignment discusses Health Care Choices organization based on the scope of their 
services. Health Care Choices was founded in 1948 in US and is now the world’s largest publicly 
funded health service. Health Care Choices is free for anyone who is the resident in US.  It 
covers everything from antenatal screening to open heart surgery, accident and emergency 
treatment and end-of-life care. Health Care Choices is also certified with The Information 
Standard.  
Health Care Choices also has a fully functional website, which helps patients to provide 
online information and online services. A patient can have access to the medical advice through 
the website of Health Care Choices. It also has a symptom checker that can assist patients in 
determine their disease, by checking for the symptoms and matching it with their own level of 
UN comfort.  
It is the leading provider of health care services in US. It provides a wide variety of 
treatments like knee to hip surgery, breast surgery and nose surgery. All these surgeries are only 
possible through latest technology machines and high ended IT enabled systems in the hospital. 
Health Care Choices is also a leading provider of cosmetic and plastic surgery in US.  
Most of the hospitals, health care centers and pharmaceutical companies in US recognize 
the use of Enterprise Resource planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and 
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage their business effectively and 
efficiently.
