Purpose
To develop your confidence and presentation skills and report writing as well as showcasing your early childhood research in creating change. Demonstration of graduate capabilities as listed for this subject will be assessed in this task.
Task details
The workbook in PebblePad is used to record your responses to AT2: part 1 and 2. While the Turnitin link will be used to obtain your Similarity report, which needs to be submitted in PebblePad. Please make sure that you upload each content in the right section.
Identify an area of early childhood practice that you would like to lead a change in. Explain why, research the area in the literature and develop an intention for change methodology. Evaluate the possible effectiveness of this change against the practice principles of the early years learning framework and the Australian professional standards of teachers.Instructions
Part 1: Written Report (1200 words)
Identify an area of early childhood practice that you would like to lead a change in and advocate for this change. Research the area in the literature and develop a methodology for this change. Evaluate the possible effectiveness of this change against the practice principles of the early years learning framework and the Australian professional standards of teachers.
Topic: Advocating for First Nation People
·Research Question: How can I lead a change in advocating for the change in this area?
·Develop a rationale to support this change with supporting peer reviewed literature.
·Methodology for change (how this change will be managed)
·Evaluation (link to the benefits and the curriculum/APST)
·Include a Reference list
You must include evidence of the rationale for change with peer-reviewed journal articles that reinforce your intention. Use minimum 3 scholarly references- peer reviewed journal articles.
Citations and Reference List: All citations in text need to be reflective of APA7 and included in your final reference list.
Part 2: Virtual Presentation (800 words)
The recorded presentation will be planned for approximately 5-8 minutes
Present a virtual presentation using a persuasive approach to outline your change proposal developed in Part A-Written Report. Consider how you would convince your early childhood team that the change you propose is well evidenced, well planned and in the best interests of continuous improvement.
