PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION
Item 1 Explain the terms: public health, community health, global health, population health, health education, public health education, and health promotion.
LO1.1: Defination of the terms related to public health education and description of the relationship between these terms, including any similarities and differences.
1. Public health: public health is defined as the science and process to prevent diseases. The term is associated with the promotion and protection of the health of the community and people where they live, work, learn, and play (Chandan et al. 2020). However, the purpose of public health is to prevent people from injuries and disease. It includes general awareness of health and the promotion of healthy physical activities.
1. Community health: community health is underlying the um
ella of public health. It focuses on the geographical area and pays attention to taking care of health for certain communities. The workers of community health care are recognized as the frontline care staffs who reach the folk communities who may not see a specialty for doctors regularly. However, the health care team is also focused on the community who avoids the system that they seem confusing and not afford the health expenses
1. Global health: the protection and prevention process of health in the context of the entire globe appears as the term global health (Lal et al. 2021). However, the term is associated with the area of study, practices, and research that focus on the prevention and protection of health in the global context and established equity in health.
1. Population health: the term population health is associated with the outcome or the health status of a group of people rather than an individual at a time. It is interlinked with the participation of public health and includes the initiatives that promote and encourage community health and optimize the health of the population.
1. Health education: health education is the essential part of social science that is driven by medical, physical, psychological, biological, and environmental sciences. It promotes the prevention process of diseases, premium death, and disabilities through the education of behavioral change activities (Schulz et al. 2020). However, health education promotes emotional, physical, mental, and social health.
1. Public health education: public health education is the education process by which injuries and diseases can be prevented for the public. However, the term is associated with a care process that focuses on heavily diagnostic methods for the treatment of illness.
1. Health promotion: health promotion is a term by which health care staff informs people about the illness, educate them to adopt healthy habits and precautions that they can prevent diseases. It is included with wellness programs that help to raise health awareness among the masses.
From the above definition it has been found that community health, population health is underlying the term of public health as each refers to the prevention and protection process for the population. However, community health refers to the prevention activities for flock communities who are usually not privileged with doctors or treatment. The term health education is the awareness program that is similar to health promotion as both terms are used in the implementation of health awareness among people. Global health is different from community health as it refers to the global health factors and promotes the term equity in health.
LO1.2: Compare terms associated with public health
All the terms that have been defined above are inte
elated to the term of public health. The term community health refers to those folk populations who are far away from the system of healthcare. However, public health refers to the prevention and protection of health for all so community health is also underlined. Global health is also related to public health that promotes the equity of health education and the health system for the entire population (Van den Broucke, 2020). On the other hand, population health that approaches the health condition of the overall population is also under the um
ella of public health. Public health education and health promotions are accounts of an active process to increase the awareness of people that explore the significance of public health only.

Item 2: Briefly describe the history of public health in the United States
LO1.3: Describe the history of public health in the United States
The emergence of public health began 150 years ago and two major factors that shaped the modern form of public health such as the development of scientific education or knowledge about the control system of disease and the second reason is associated with the exceptions of the public for the collective responsibility towards the prevention of disease. In the context of the US, the term public health has been introduced since 1798 when the Act for "Relief of Sick and Disabled Seamen and authorizes the formation of the US Marine Hospital Services. However, the rapid transition from a rural society to an u
an society has appeared as the major cause in the US for the appearance of the term public health that refers to the healthcare system for overall public and awareness program for the population to prevent diseases by enhancing health habits in their life. In the history of the US, it has been found that semen is often affected by illness and did not have scope to adequate health care service in port cities so the marine hospital has been founded as their life was essential for the economic growth of the country (McClure et al. 2020).
In 1798, the Marine hospital was established in port cities for the first time by Congress to provide an appropriate care service for seemen. Since the term, public health has been introduced in the history of the US. At the same time, Castle Island of Boston Ha
or was selected to establish the Marine hospital for the first time. In 1804, the Boston Marine hospital was permanently established in the section of Charles Town under the care of Dr. Benjamin Waterhouse. In1842, a Massachusetts legislator named Lemuel Shattuck has founded a US system that has started to keep records of birth, ma
iages, and deaths. However, through the effort of this model, the numerical records of disease, age, sex, and socio-economic levels have been accounted for that play a major role in the formation of modern public health. The emergence of public health has been appeared by the acceptance of the modern public in the US who realize that health needs to be considered as essential for the overall growth of the mansion. It has been found that the Marine hospital has become the general character of hospital service and became a national health service where surgeons are appointed after the examination and appoint medical officers. In 1887, a Hygienic Laboratory was found in the Marine Hospital that was moved to Washington DC later. However, in 1891 an immigration Act was passed that refers to pre-health examination by PHS physicians for each of the migrants who enter the US (Khan et al.2020). In 1970, the Environmental Protection Agency was founded in the US for the promotion of enforcement activities to address environmental protection. In 2002, the Institute of Medicine issued a report by which every healthcare staff is instructed to enhance a framework that focuses on the understanding of public health and is linked with the multiple departments of health care service.

LO1.4: Analyze the events that led to the emergence of the health education profession.
The first phase of public health emerged between 1914-1939 and the second phase has appeared since 1935 to date. However, several nursing schools had been established by the end of the nineteenth century. These sources of nursing schools have become a good source for the delivery cases among pregnant women and those schools provide well training for their nurses to accomplish this objective (Eisen and Paddock,2021). Furthermore, the passing of the Social Security Act in 1935 has appeared as an essential provision that stimulates further...
