Privacy and Confidentiality Issues
Privacy and confidentiality are the most important considerations of the health care
organizations in order to maintain integrity and trust of the patients and their families. At the
same time, the healthcare activities are very sensitive to maintain while giving patient care
services in which each and every information is recorded and saved for the future use. The
ecording system of the patients’ information is documented and stored either in the form of hard
copy or digitized in a computer system (Curtis & Drennan, 2013). Recording of the personal
information of the patients on the mandatory basis has various benefits because it provides better
treatment care.
However, recording patient information associated with the health issues and personal
information are the concerns of privacy and confidentiality. This is because, the personal identity
and associated health information issues should not be disclosed to the unknown person.
However, there are a wide range of issues concern to the privacy and confidentiality occu

the health care organizations due to mismanagement (Curtis & Drennan, 2013). Therefore, in
order to maintain an ethical environment in the organization, it is necessary to be responsible
