FOOD DEMOCRACY IN AUSTRALIA
Introduction 
It is an unusual dichotomy related to food and agricultural produce that humankind as a race is facing today. The time has come for people to make an informed choice on how we want to progress in this context, so that global hunger does not remain the burning issue that it is today.
Food Democracy 
There has to be put forth a rational method through which the physical needs of the global population are met, while the greater goals of environmental conservation, treatment of animals and social justice are also safeguarded (Carlson & Chappell, 2015). The theory that comes closest to addressing all of these issues is ‘Food Democracy’. This theory highlights the human right to safe, nutritious food that has been justly produced and associates political legislation towards implementing the same.
