The Rouge valley health system has came into limelight due to a series of events which contributed to the data breach in the organization. Further the issues have become focus for legal enforcement and the IPC-PHIPA of order HO-013 is issues in this regard on December 16th, 2014. The following part of the discussion will focus on the issue and presents the case summary of the same. Further there is discussion presented about the legal actions that are enforced in consequence to the events aroused in this regard. The write-up encapsulates all these proceedings occurred.
Overview of the case(Summary):
As per the ethical and moral obligations health records of the patients visiting the hospital need to be maintained with confidentiality. They should not be sold out for commercial benefits, as well should not be revealed to the third persons for non-commercial benefits. However still the Current health care centre, Rouge valley health systems located in Toronto was found to be guilty of several counts of criminal charges. Further it is found about 6000 health records were stolen from Ajax site.
