To Blame or Not To Blame (For the Price Hike)?
The price of gas is now climbing up to the sky and there is no sign of its coming down to
earthly terms. The gasoline price hike in Canada and in the U.S has now turned into an
agonizing issue. The undue prices and taxes at the gas stations are not only acting as a
dilemma for the U.S and Canadian citizens but also upsetting the motorist of the nations who
can’t see any hope in favor of the reduction of prices of gasoline. It is assumable that if the price
of gasoline keeps on rising like this then the transportation costs both in the U.S and in Canada
is sure to rise and this in turn is going to diminish the condition of the people of the these
countries who are ling below the poverty line. But who is responsible for such price hike? Is the
government of the countries? Is it President Obama and his administration? For some the
answer can be affirmative but to me it is never worthy to blame the president or the government
solely for the rise in gasoline price for which the people of the U.S and Canada is suffering.
Since the beginning of 2012 the conservatives are repeating the discussing regarding
the condition of oil industry and the relative price rise in the realm of gasoline. They are directly
laming President Obama responsible for such hike in price. It is Obama, according to them and
myriads of citizens of both the U.S and Canada, who is somehow the one responsible for the
agonizing price hike of gasoline and oil. The argument of people who are propagating the active
ole of Obama in respect of such vehement price rise is actually based on their assertion that
the hostile attitude of President Obama towards the energy industry is the main reason behind
such tremendous rise in price of oil and gasoline across the U.S. By denying the Keystone XL
Pipeline proposal and by implementing restriction of drilling in environmentally delicate regions
President Obama, according to his anti, has actually paved the way for the rise of price of oil

and gasoline. But in my opinion such argument against a single individual is fallacious. It is not
worthy to blame only the president or governmental heads of both the countries for being solely
esponsible for the issue. And such a stance of mine can be surely proved through relevant
information and statistics. Moreover, President Obama’s rejection to some drilling plans has
actually favored the issue of the environmentalists who are ardently ca
ying on their movement
to save the earth from
utal destruction and who are rendering immense effort to prevent the
menace of global warming which has also been initiated due to some human induced disasters.
In 2008 through some media coverage Fox News revealed the fact that by giving
permission to more drilling for oil or by expanding the process of domestic oil drilling could not
e an effective way for...
