Active Listening Skills
I am a student of business management and pursuing my degree course. Once, my professors a
anged a special guest who gave us a special lecture. I was very excited when I came to know that Mr Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google will come as the special guest and will give us a lecture. The day came and he came to us to give a lecture on some basic skills that play a major role in a career.
Through his lecture, I have come to know about the significance of the skill of listening. I also realised that the skill of listening is very important in every aspect of life and in professional careers through his statement (Xiao et al., 2020). I have come to know that How could we resolve complicated issues through implementing the skill of listening as it could provide us a proper way to marge the way, by which the problem can be solved.
I have gathered knowledge that listening skill is an important way to communicate with other people and could help to build integrity. However, it can play a major role to resolve any issues regarding any conflict or and professional complicity. At the same time, through applying my listening skill I have approached the inclusion that we could gather all the relevant information without missing it if we focus on listening.
Similarly, through the story of Sunder Pichai, I could relate the insight that listening skill is the only way that I could gather and increase my knowledge in any sector (Eggenberger, 2021). However, this knowledge can help me grow my personality and help me to think critically that I am required to pursue my dream career. While listening to the speech I can relate the workability of listening skills that help people to set their priority goals as per the knowledge gathered from listening properly.
