Russian history from Rurik to Revolution:
If we talk about the history of Russia, then we can see that it began with the details which tells us about the histories of the East Slavs, Turkic and the Finno-Ugric peoples. Historical data tells us that the actual start-date of specifically Russian history is the establishment of the Rus' state in the north in 862, which was then ruled by Vikings. Immigrants came and settled in those days from Scandinavia accompanied by the Slavs and the Finno Ugrians. After Rurik’s period, Price Oleg took over Kiev and united the north and the south regions of the Slavs under his authority in 882. Christianity was the prominent religion of the people then. Russia also saw multiple invasion of the Mongols later and many even settled in various part of the available land to start a civilization. Gradually through the centuries under the rule of the Prince Vladimir, Ivan –III and Ivan-IV and subsequently came down to the Romanov Dynasty. Later it came down to the tenure of Lenin, the Bolsheviks and the rise of Soviet Union.
