Formatting Your Assignment
For academic writing, the writer is expected to write in the third person. In third person, the writer avoids the pronouns I, we, my, you, your, and ours. The third person is used to make the writing more objective by taking the individual, the “self,” out of the writing. This method is very helpful for academic writing, a form in which facts, not opinion, drive the tone of the text. Writing in the third person allows the writer to come across as unbiased and thus more informed. The Report is to be written for the Midtown Family Clinic, and reference should not be made by name to individuals who own or work in the Clinic.
· Write a complete, well organized paper that includes all four sections of the System Recommendation Report. Use the recommendations provided in each area for length of response. Content areas should be double spaced; table entries should be single-spaced. It’s important to

A. Introduction
This section presents a detailed organizational analysis of the different types of data that flows in and out of Dr. Thompson’s Midtown Family Clinic specifying the need for proper EHR system that can help Dr. Thompson’s clinic to provide better facilities to the patients. The idea is to make his medical practice to more profitable by making it more efficient manner so that the profit can be reinvestment for upgrades and expansion. The section shall also identify data and the functional requirements with respect to the EHR system in the Midtown Family clinic; and to improve of the exchange standards if necessary.
B. Need to Share Data
The Midtown Family Clinic faces various challenges when catering to the needs of the patients. With the limited number of nurses to attend to the reception and tend to the needs of both the doctor and the patients, the entire process has become quite time consuming and laborious. Patients often complain that the waiting time is too long while the nurses are overwhelmed with the various needs of the clinic. Apart from the patients’ records, the clinic needs to verify regularly the credentials of the patients to check their insurance. In the absence of a proper billing system, the Clinic has become inefficient in its operations. The pathological reports generated from the labs are also filed manually making the entire process very laborious. While Dr. Thompson is absent the clinic, the nurses face many difficulties in locating appropriate medical records of the patients.
