Introduction
Development of human beings starts with its birth and ends with its death. Entire life of a person is an ongoing development process. Growth and development of humans divided into six stages. These stages are infancy, childhood, teenage, mid-adulthood, late adulthood and old age. Each stage undergoes many biological and psychological under the influence of society, culture and environment. This led to the building of character and social identity of individual. Gender of the person is decided by the genetics but personality of the individual is shaped during growth and development. Human is centre of all the major studies. Here the study is conducted using the case study, a 50 years’ old army person, undergoing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Stages of Human Growth and Development
Infancy
It is the early stages of the human being, typically, from 0-2 years of age. As suggested by Beauchamp and Mennella (2011), child able to get control of their body. They rely on others to fulfil their needs. They started to learn the faces and build the relationship of trust to the familiar faces. Their
ain is highly active during this period. They started learning language and start walking during the later time of this stage. They started learning few familiar words and things. They cry to display their emotions. They are mostly under the influence of their parents during this stage.

Childhood
This stage covers the age between 3 and 12 years. Child started to meet new people in their life. This is the growing phase. Height of the child keeps on increasing every passing year. They start their education and interact with other adults like teachers and other staff of school. This stage is sub-divided into early childhood, which cover age between 3 and 7 years, and late childhood, which cover age between 7 and 12 years. The early childhood is a foundation phase of learning. As noted by Ca
ier (2016), the child interacts with people of their age. They follow the guidance of teachers and parents. They start discovering their own culture and learn about their neighbourhood during late childhood.

Teenage
This is the most crucial stage of the person. The body of the individual undergoes physical and sexual change. They achieve puberty at this stage. Apart from physical change, child undergoes many emotional changes. Their mental level is developed. This is the period where guidance of adult is mostly needed to help them understand the changes they are going through. As mentioned by Gifford and Nilsson (2014), they start their interest in trying new things or have adventure in their life. This is the time when child is given sexual education. They are given wisdom of right and wrong. There are chances that they get attracted towards smoking or drugs. They are taught about these hazardous addictions and their
utal outcomes. This is the time when child often commit mistakes, so they are monitored regularly by their adults. Their peer pressure and attraction towards opposite sex. They learn about their culture, they notice the things going around them. They are influenced by society and culture. This sows the seed of character in the individual. They have view on everything.

Young Adulthood
This covers the 20s and early 30s of the individuals. This stage is the career-oriented period. The person decides to pursue of higher studies or professional studies depending on their interest. This is the time, when individuals decide to join the army as well as serve their nation for better and good.
