The word swastika is derived from a Sanskrit work Swastika which once translated means wellbeing or good fortune. It has an extensive history and if tracked back Swastika was even used at least 5000 years before Adolf Hitler used it to make the Nazi flag. The motif or the hooked cross can be dated back to the Neolithic Eurasian where it was first used. The symbol basically represents the movement of the sun in the sky and is considered to be sacred in India and Indonesia.
