Photosensitivity Chart
Refer to your Safety Data Pages and make a list of the essential oils which are photosensitive, and should
not be applied to skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight or UV light within the next 24 to 72 hours,
as they will enhance its sensitivity to UV light, and potentially cause severe dermatitis, darkening of the
skin and skin damage. Keep this chart on hand for your quick reference. It’s important that you advise
ecipients if you have used a photosensitive oil on them during their session. If you are using an essential
oil or blend which is not mentioned in the Safety Data Pages, refer to Young Living’s product guide to
check whether the oil
lend is photosensitive.
