Question One 3
Question Two 3
Question Three 4
Question One
Sustainability, as per my observation so far in personal and academic life, is a focused approach to stabilise the resources that are vital to keep human life progressive. In fact, I have observed many sustainable scenarios and to name one of them, rain water harvesting is one of the ways through which, clean water can be sustained as a natural resource and I have used this technique to help my parents in growing lush green backyard at my home.
We have used some basic technique to conserve rainwater such as keeping the manmade compartment like equipment at the top of slanting roof and connecting it with an underground pond that we have made in the backyard. During the season of rain, whatever amount of rain occurs, the slanting roof transfers the whole water into the pond.
We use it to procure all plants and trees that we have in our backyard. I have seen reduction in the water resource usages that we used to have in the past and I reckon through rainwater harvesting, much of the rainwater, which is drained in vain, can be used for fruitful purposes.
Question Two
I am particularly intrigued by the prevalent (and it is still rising) ideology of consumerism because that is the potential source of consumption of many resources at national and international level. I would prefer taking up this topic for further explorations. Consumerism is all about satisfying the needs and expectations of a diverse range of consumers for which, all types of industrial development takes place.
Organisations thrive to serve their customers in the best manner possible and it somehow makes their productions vulnerable to violate norms of sustainability. Thus, this topic takes my attention and I would like to investigate how sustainability and consumerism are interlinked in modern context.
Question Three
In fact, as per my observation so far, consumerism is the basic ideology behind every sustainable objective set forth to
ing positive changes in the world. Consumer behaviour analyses the what, when, where, why, and how consumers make decisions, focusing on the what, when, where, why, and how of product consumption.
Companies, for example, want to know why people buy things and what kinds of demands are met through consumption. Sustainability is a crucial concern for a range of customer sectors when making purchasing decisions in 2020, according to consumer trends. This statement is agreed upon by between 1 in 10 and 1 in 3 people, implying that
ands must do more to engage with customers.
Additionally put, Sustainable consumption, according to the United Nations Environment Programme, is defined as the use of material products, energy, and immaterial services in such a way that their environmental impact is minimised, ensuring that human needs are addressed not only now but also in the future.
