Assessment Task
In a group of 2 students, devise project scope and quality management plans that articulate the scope
and quality approaches for the project in the assigned Case Study provided by your Learning
Facilitator.
Please refer to the Instructions for details on how to complete this task.
Context
The backbone of a project manager’s work is the Project Management Plan. This plan details the
project's execution, monitoring, and control. It combines all of the planning's sub-plans and baselines.
You and your group will create a Project Management Plan for your assigned Case Study in this
assessment. Applying scope and quality tools and techniques to develop the scope statement and
scope and quality management plans of a project is a crucial part of project planning. One of the keys
to project success is effective scope management. Project Scope Management includes processes to
ensure that the project includes all work required to complete it successfully.

PROJ6002_Assessment_2_Brief_Plans_Module 3 Page 2 of 6

A project's quality management plan defines quality requirements, standards for the project and its
deliverables, and how the project will demonstrate compliance. One of the main benefits of this
process is that it provides guidance and direction on how quality will be managed and validated
throughout the project.
Instructions
1. Connect with your assigned group members (provided by your Learning Facilitator).
2. Analyse the project from your own perspectives as up-and-coming project manager
3. Your group will devise subsidiary Project Management plans for Scope and Quality, using
the assigned Case Study provided on Blackboard by your Learning Facilitator.
a) Although all students will receive the same case study, you are expected to
complete this task and create a distinct set of plans in your group.
) These project scope and quality management plans and supporting documentation
must include, but not be limited to, the following components:
● Project Goals and Objectives
● Project Scope Statement
● Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
● Quality Responsibilities
● Approaches to Quality Assurance, Control and Improvement
● Quality Metrics
4. Write 2600 words and describe the processes, tools, and techniques used in your scope
and quality management plans, as well as your justification for the quality metrics
selected.
5. You can use the template in this subject’s Learning Resources or create your own to devise
the subsidiary project scope and quality management plans.
6. After completing your plans and supporting documentation, each member of your group
should reflect on your respective contributions to the assessment and then (individually)
complete the Group Contribution Survey.

Scope management planning
Project goals
1. The main objective of this event is to provide the high quality of training and workshop to the staff.
2. To establish a social network that is helpful for collaborations
3. To complete the project on time and in defined budget.
Deliverables
1. To deliver the project management plan that includes the details related to work schedule.
2. To deliver the EAV analysis that provides the overview of cost involved in the project
3. To deliver the work
eak down structure that help to provide an overview of distribution or classification of work.
4. To deliver the scope management and quality management plan for the project that help to avoid the unwanted delays in the project.
Constraints and Assumption
1. It is assumed that critical activities are same in the case of risks free environment
2. It is assumed the project will be completed in planned budget and time.
3. Minimum two resources are allocated to each activity that is scheduled in the Gantt chart
Milestones
There is not any kind of milestone given in Gantt chart but to keep track of the performance and work done in the project completing a scope management plan is milestone, completing a quality management plan is another milestone (Murphy & Ledwith, 2017). Cost management plan and project scheduling is another milestone of this project that help to complete the project on time. The use of milestone avoids the unwanted delays and scope change (Petroutsatou, 2019).

Quality management planning
The quality management plan is helpful to manage the cost, time and quality. The delays that can affect the quality of the project due to scope change, shortage of budget or time can be managed by using quality management and following are the main components of quality management plan such as Act, Plan, check and Do.
Plan: The identification of the baseline and goals must be there and the main objective of this project is to deliver the quality of training and workshop to the number of staff members. The internal resources that are required for the completion of the project are also assembled in this component. Following are the details of the resources table of this project:
    Resource Name
    Std. Rate
    Cost/Use
    Base Calenda
    project manage
    $70.00/h
    $0.00
    Standard
    facility and assets manage

    $45.00/h

    senior finance office
    $60.00/h

    events manage
    $40.00/h
    $0.00

    $0.00

    recruitment agent
    $40.00/h

    $50.00/h

    purchasing agent

    Standard
Do: Under this component the different documents that are required for the completion of the project will be a
anged like the different quality standards, procedures and policies that are followed to manage the quality (Moonsamy & Singh, 2015). The training of employees to the new process can also be done by the use of this step and it help to manage the quality because the delays due to the newly implemented processes can be avoided, the effects of change resistance can be reduced by the use of this policies and standards related to quality management.
Check: The controlling and measuring of the outputs according to the criteria defined will be there in this component. By the use of this strategy the risks related to project management can be counterfeited and the success of criteria of the project can also be defined on the basis of this analysis (Lee, Jallan & Ashuri, 2020).
Act: Under this step or component the findings of the quality management plan will be reviewed, that the cost and time constraints are followed or not. The project is completed on time or according to the planned budget or not (José Tarí, 2015). All the deliverables must be delivered at the end of the project.
