NUR1201 Assessment Item 1 – Written Essay
Introduction
The profession of nursing has been considered as one of the most pious jobs. The founding philosophy of nursing has been adopted with the hand of Florence nightingale. The profession of nursing was previously bounded into the domain of holistic care. With the advancement of society, the domain of nursing becomes divers. The degree of care also varies according to the need of the patient. Person-centered care involves the process of the overall care of an individual. Similarly, the process of family-centered care can also be found in a huge range now a day. There are various fundamental responsibilities those e
needed to be followed by the nurses as well as any health care professionals to promote the health along with the process of the prevention of illness reflect the superiority. The international code of ethics for nurses generally deals with the responsibilities of a nurse. The maintenance and showing the respect of human rights, cultural rights with proper dignity is a universal need for a nursing profession. The code of ethics also tells that the nursing profession should not be restricted by any color, general, race, gender, nationality, politics, and social status of any individual (Fitzgerald, Myers, & Clark, 2016). The code of conduct for nurses generally reflects the behavior and practice of the care of a nurse to the patient or the public. The code of conduct also provides detailed guidance of nursing practice to maintain the non-negotiable standard of ethics (Butts, & Rich, 2019). The degree of commitment of a nurse to the society is also being guided by the code of conduct. Cu
ently, various issues regarding the profession of nursing can be observed. In many cases, the violation of the code of ethics and conduct is being observed. To resolve all the issues related to the profession of nursing a national safety and quality health services standard has been adopted (Delaney, 2018).
Various standard strategies and programs are being prioritized nowadays to get a transparent health care service. The partnering care strategies with the consumer are cu
ently being appreciated widely (Reid, Escott, & Isobel, 2018). Based on the cu
ent situational study this partnering care process has been considered as a key point in dealing with the particular situation of an age 40 patient's experience. Erik Erikson provided an eight-stage psychological theory by considering and modifying Freud’s controversial of psychosexual development (Abd El-Hay, 2019). The discussion of the cultural implications of development has been considered in this particular theory to resolve various cultural and survival needs for a certain culture (Tonks, 2017). According to the theory after the age of 40, a person generally enters the age of middle adulthood. In this particular age, the development of the volunteer works along with the social considerations. This theory also tells that the persons of middle adulthood normally will share their experiences and views with others (Balswick, King, & Reimer, 2016). Hence in this particular study, the experience of a 40 age female has been considered as a major part of the discussion. On the other hand, the patient is an aboriginal health worker also. Hence in many cases, her experience as a worker is also being discussed to get a multidimensional overview.
Analysis of age 40 patients’ experience
A 40 years old Australian aboriginal female named Raelene has been interviewed and her experiences regarding the issues and the treatment that she got during her pregnancy have also been recorded. Throughout the question and answer series, the experience and her views have been revised and it can be seen that Raelene has experienced a series of physical as well as mental issues during that particular period. It has been mentioned that during the period of her pregnancy Raelene has been found gestational diabetes during her...
