· Section B (2 tasks: Academic Writing & Reflective Writing)

In simple words, the Referendum of 23rd June,2016 refers to the event of BREXIT, the suggests the potential exit of United Kingdom(UK) from the European Union(EU).Aiming to complete the withdrawal agreement by 2018,negotiation already started back in 2017.
UK joined hands with EU via a confirmation referendum back in 1973. The issue regarding the withdrawal started during the 1970s&1980s mainly by the Trade Union people. The term BREXIT was coined to conceptualize “British Exit”&was derived from the term “GREXIT”. Majority of the British voters supported the BREXIT.
Some of the areas which got affected due to BREXIT are----
· AUTOMOBILE SECTOR
It employed approximately 0.42% of the United Kingdom(UK) labor force& represents 4.9%(approx.)share of the total United Kingdom(UK) exports,& 35% share belonged to European Union(EU). The BREXIT led to a 10% rise in tariffs on cars.
· CHEMICAL & PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR
It employed approximately 0.52% of the United Kingdom(UK) labor force & claimed 9.9%(approx.)share of the total United Kingdom(UK) exports,& 57% share belonged to European Union(EU). The BREXIT led to a rise of 4.6% in the Chemical & Pharmaceutical tariffs.
· FOOD BEVERAGES & TOBACCO SECTOR
This sector employed approximately 3.7% of the United Kingdom(UK) labor force & claimed a 3.7%(approx.) share of the total United Kingdom(UK) exports,& 61% belonged to European Union(EU). The BREXIT gave rise to the tariffs upon processed food by 15% & other products by 30%.
· PROFESSIONAL SERVICE SECTOR
