Task 1
Total expenses of the company are divided into expenses on account of wages and utilities. The paymentfor workersis doneat hourly rate. The rates paid are as per the work done by each employee. the hourly wage rates are adjustable in the column and can be updated for each calculation. The hours spent by each employee in a week are used a basis for week payout. Annual projections for expenses are obtained using these weeky payouts.
Task 2
The price for items are based on material used and size of the item. The costs are averaged out using the data from sheet1. Only the items belonging to that category are added up in calculations. The operator can select if he wants the analysis to be done for manufacturing costs or Quote prices. This allows the average formula to pick up relevant column for calculations
Quotes are proposed by either of the employees based on their own calculations about product manufacturing cost. Since there is no defined method, the costs varied a lot for same product type over time and among staff members for the same product. This needs to be captured using a set basis of cost consideration parameters so costs are not dependent upon individual but actuall manufacturing costs and efforts
Task 3
The price quotes from members are not consistent across products of different categories. There is a need of a mechanism to fix this variance using process based flowchart to decide about prices. The parameters that decide the cost are the size and material of the product.
The staff member just needs to select the material and size.
The system will propose a quote price (not manufacturing price) for the product.
The proposed quote is based on the average quote price for similar products as quoted in history of the sales orders.
Task 4
The table calculates the number of items sold in each category as per list of previous sales orders. The table uses size and material type as basis to categorize the products. If a particular type of item is sold more number of times, it is considered as popular and may be manufacture without order confirmation if not is stock. If item is not considered popular , the manufacturing may be with held till order is confirmed.
The staff can enter the material and size of the requested product.
The system picks up average quote price for the product from table used in task 3
The operator than decides if product be considered popular or not.
Operator also enters if the item is already in stock
Suggestion weather to manufacture the product now or hold till confirmation
