Toy car and ramp assignment
Part I :
Test collection of data:
An experimental design was done with a cardboard approximately 200 cm long with a toy car. The cardboard was almost smooth with no folding at it to stop the free movement of car. The cardboard was selected from a big one with no shrink or folding in it. The length was taken as 200 cm and width as 10 cm.
The toy car was having a width of approximately 5.6 cm.
Scientific method of recording for time taken for a toy car to reach bottom from the same height.
For this trial first height was fixed with 3 thick books with total height making as 11 cm,
Our idea was to adjust the heights by varying the number of books and recording
For this part we use only height as with 3 books as shown below:
Three books were used with a height of 11 cm. For the same height different trials were done. We can assume that there was no friction since cardboard selected was smooth. The same was repeated for the same height 20 times and average was calculated.
The records were as follows:

Part 2 Draft:
Title selected: Verifying law of conservation of energy for any vehicle or car or moving object in a steep direction.
The law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant and it is said to be conserved over time.
Aim:
The aim is to understand more the concept of conservation of energy for rolling objects. Normally we get confused in rolling bodies because at the beginning when motion did not start there would be potential energy and when it is half way above earth there would be both potential energy due to gravity because of level above the ground and also kinetic energy because of velocity. So doubt comes in our minds how the energy would split up into both. Similarly when the body reaches the ground, there will be only kinetic energy and no potential energy. By experiments we find that at any position the energy would remain the same. For this to be more accurate we consider average time taken for repeated trials.
Prediction:
Prediction is obvious here, the energy would remain the same at various heights of the travelling object.
Background:
For convenience and practical viability we consider a toy car and a ramp which are easily available. For height books are used. The more the number of books used the more would be the height. We can take 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 books for experiments....
