1. Describe the Causal Continuum framework and the associated variables.
Causal continuum framework is related with epidemiological research and related characterization of the scenarios. It is a cross sectional or even synchronic view of interacting factors. A range of etiological factors that will affect the health at their variance degrees will be indicated in the causality continuum.
Those variables that can have direct implications to effect health are proximate variables and those variables that do not have direct impact and rather if they have impact indirectly then they are called as distal variables.
Proximate factors result from more direct biological processes or from several situational factors that have potential to precipitate in the form of the ill health. However the distal variables do evolve from macro level socio-cultural and ecological issues that will precipitate in the form of ill health.
Intermediate variables are those factors that will intervene with distal factors and will moderate their impact on the ill health (Bryant and Henderson, 2010).

2. Explain the intervening variables that account for the impact of relative wealth on health.
Relative wealth has direct implications to the health and wellbeing. A rich person is more likely to have better health and a poor person is more likely to have poor health. In this connection, the actual socio cultural factors of the focus group, the educational qualifications, the level of knowledge etc do have considerable intervening effect on the impact of the relative wealth on the health of the individual. Though the wealth of the individual do have direct implications to the health and wellbeing, there is much to do with other supporting factors like the conditions in which the individual is born, what type of conditions shaped the destiny of the person,...
