As President of SAC it is my understanding that you have made the important
decision to adopt the Balanced Scorecard approach for SAC, mapping SAC‟s strategic
objectives to performance metrics.
Balanced score card was introduced as a measurement device, today it has become a
strategic management system that helps an organization to work on its vision and helps in
translating the vision into the action which is inculcated across the organization. It helps in
evaluating the performance of an organization and helps in
idging the gap between the
strategic objectives and the execution of the objectives. It helps in providing the feedback
from both internal as well as external outcomes which helps in improving the strategic
performance of the organization so as to achieve the set objectives. „The balanced score card
complements the financial measures with operational measures on customer satisfaction,
internal processes and the organization‟s innovation and improvement activities that are the
drivers of future financial performance‟. (Kalpan, Norton, 1991)
The balance score card is one of the best measures which helps in analysing the
performance of the company from four different perspective which includes learning and
growth perspective, financial perspective, internal business process perspective and customer
perspective.
