1)Product Strategy
Ethique provides the service of cosmetics and personal care products. Providing various body soaps, deodorants and some cleaning soaps as well. Ethique is in its growing stages of the life cycle. The business was stated in 2012 which means it has only been producing goods for about 7 year. I do not feel it has reached its maturity and still has a ton of growth left to do.
As far as improving our offerings to any and all target markets:
- What level of quality and consistency does the offering have?
- Ethique provides a very high level of quality and consistency. It is important to keep high standards as well as consistency so our consumerscan trust our products.
How many features does it have and can they be removed or added?
- Ethique has a very large variety of features, many are listed above. I feel that it would be very easy to add or take away from this list of features. However, I feel that taking away or removing any of our features would be kind of pointless due to the nature of Ethiques main goals.
Does the design and/or service deliver what the customer values? If not, how can it improve?
- Ethique beyond delivers for the customer, even with its shipping they have steps put in place to off set their carbon foot print. Packaging is 100% plastic free, when you receive your order it is all recyclable carboard. Thinking that detailed about a soap has made Ethique a game changer in my eyes for all the other soap products out there.
What improvements would help your offering compete more effectively?
- I feel that the number one improvement that could be made to Ethique is adding more employees, even just a coupe would help the process be more efficient and less time consuming. It would also help them be able to deliver their product in a more timely fashion.
2nd students discussion
LifeProof Cases and Gear offer high-quality protective cases and gear for mobile devices and tablets. While studying the stages of the life cycle of products, LifeProof falls in the growth stage of the cycle I believe. While the brand has an established identity and name, the company is continuously researching new ways in which to incorporate sustainability practices in its manufacturing. while they are known for their quality and warranty, the company continues to find new ways to grow and does not remain stationary. This is not the full potential of LifeProof and there is much more to come.
The level of quality and the consistency of said quality is tremendous. This is the main reason LifeProof offers the warranty that they do. The cases offer protection from water, snow, shock, etc. Many cases in competition do not offer protection from all of the above.
Having many features including water resistance, shock resistance, and durability, the cases provided by LifeProof are bar none the best option for the everyday person. The beauty of the product is that all of the products offer the same protection, and can not be added or taken away as this is their stance. Protection. The only feature that can be controlled is if the customer so chooses to purchase the case that is created from recycled ocean-based plastic. Until all products offer this material, they will all remain manufactured from the same materials with the exception of the Wake case.
Customers value protection and to receive what they pay for. With the warranty in place of replacement at no charge except shipping, handling and taxes where applicable, LifeProof offers continued protection beyond the lifetime of its products. The improvement that can continue to be done is to switch all manufacturing to all ocean based recycled plastics and incorporate more sustainability approaches.
With practicing sustainability on a more permanent basis, the company not only improves the environment, it also gains and maintains loyal customers.
