1.Introduction 
This paper is based on leading organization known as Sony which has been producing quality 
based electronic products for customers all across the globe. Sony being leading organization, 
of globe has been configured in-terms of quality. Sony has been offering products such as 
music systems, laptops, mobile phones, LCD’s, Led’s, refrigerators and Air conditioners. 
Sony is also prepared for its transformation process as its leaders has been aligning drivers of 
business for maintaining quality standards to continuously improve business with support of 
technologies, motivation, learning, performance, customers and competition. The term 
“Quality can be defined as degree of excellence which is made free from defects, 
deficiencies and contingencies”. Today Sony is known all across the globe for meeting 
expectations of its customers in terms of quality based products. Sony has been continuously 
improving its business and configuring to manage quality based perspective by engaging 
design related quality based initiatives, manufacturing based quality initiatives, parts related 
quality initiatives and quality based safety initiatives. The behaviours which can be inspired 
for exhibiting to promote quality improvement have been explained in a detail manner in this 
paper(R. Saravanan  2007).   
2. Discussion  
a)  Design related quality based initiatives 
The design related quality based initiatives has been helping Sony to verify parts for new 
products in-terms of customer’s perspectives. Sony takes in charge of ensuring quality and 
reliability for maintaining quality standards all cross its OEM companies by fooling its 
standards.  These standards are being checked in an authentic manner for ensuring quality 
based design process.
