Making Peace in Darfur
Lecture by Professor Ibrahim Gambari
He talked about the
independence of Darfur from Sudan. Darfur 's population about seven million
people. The conflict in Darfur when was there two rebel movements.
One day, the Sudan
Liberation Movement began his attack government military. The Sudan military
was aimed at the ethnic and there were groups from which the rebels took their
support. Also, a lot of villages flee their homes because the devastation of
war.It may appear that problem the
crisis is often as a conflict between Arab and non Arab African tribes. A lot
of people lost their lives and the president of the U.S.A sitting that issue in
those period XXXXXXXXXXbecause the crisis of humanitarian. Sudan signed a peace
agreement with one of the rebellion processes in 2006, but some of the
rebellion processes did not agree, and Sudan continued the disputation with the
rebels that they did not agree with the agreement peace. The United Nations
African Union peace keeping in Darfur suffered the problem without important
resources in their lives. Over 2 million lived in camps across Darfur and around
3 million refuges lived across Sudan. United Nations estimates of the total 7
million living in Darfur.
After a lot of
disputations subsequent was there Doha peace that began in 2010, but did not
finish in a new agreement peace. However, the representatives in
Liberation and Justice
placed some principles and agreed on it that were interested to discuss
president and regional authority.
After that approvals and
opinions of some mediators to resolve this problems the government of Sudan had
not commented on the peace document.
While these agreements, South Sudan prevented the oil after talks
for export by Sudan break down.In July 2011
South Sudan become independence.
