Introduction
The challenges to healthcare sector have evolved over the course of time and the application of the core values or nursing theories as business practice models in organizational context is one of such issues (Ortiz, 2018; Roy, 2018; Baillie, 2017) In fact, the modern scenario is unlike conventional healthcare sector due to the emergence of several new challenges which the nursing professionals have to confront. In a crucial phase of work within this sector, it is complicated to adopt one particular nursing theory that professionals have to prefer, as per the needs and expectations of their sector. The following is the analysis of the two of such theories that are determinant of the successful implication of the core values of nursing. These theories are trans-cultural and interpersonal theories which can be reckoned as the most useful one in the modern context.
A Brief Overview of the Theories and Rationale
At first, it is significant to note here that trans-cultural and interpersonal theories of nursing are like two halves of the same sphere; they complement each other in the sense that they closely align the goals of care provided to the individuals on some much anticipated grounds of practice. The trans-cultural theory perceives care as the essence of working as the nursing professional (Ortiz, 2018; Roy, 2018; Baillie, 2017) It structures the core beliefs and nursing values into practice of the professional. In other words, the basic value of work is recognized by the culture of the professional nurse. The attribute of culture is not only dominant but also one of the unique features of nursing world; it is based on the concept that the nursing professional gets the opportunity to work in a diversified cultural atmosphere where he or she has to align his cultural beliefs and practices with the culture of others whether they are his or her colleagues or patients (Ortiz, 2018; Roy, 2018; Baillie, 2017)
Additionally, when the above mentioned cultural mixes are presented at workplace, it is the professional liability of the nursing professional to review his or her personal culture based beliefs and perceptions with regard to eliminate any possibility of professional bias in his or her behavior. In other words, nursing professionals cannot exist in their workplace with these professional biases against the culture of someone else because it affects their working potential and poses question over their ability and skill that are much needed at the workplace. This is also more like the concept of empathy included in the work profile of the nursing professionals and at the same time, it has been include as a part of the cu
iculum of the nursing at national and international level.
As per the understanding of the core values of trans-cultural theory and organizational context here, with the rapid increase of globalized values of nursing, the expectations of the healthcare industry from the nursing professionals in terms of valuing the culture of others has increased. Now days, nursing professionals are given diversified environment to work upfront and they have to ca
