Module 5 Assignment!
Introduction:
Analysis of data is for more than sales figures, etc., but can be used to find patterns in weather, crime, and so on. In this assignment, you will learn how to use Access and Excel to as tools to analyze incident patterns around fires in an area.
Instructions:
Complete part (not all) of Case 11 in your textbook, following the instructions below:
1. Begin by opening the Word documentM5 Case 11Questions.docx. This file has a number of questions that you will need to answer while you work with your database (next paragraph). You may optionally print it out and please glance through the questions (without answering them yet), to become familiar with the questions.
2. Use the data files that Case 11 asks you to use. These files areFireIncidents.accdb(mentioned in your textbook on page 183) andDataDictionaryFireIncidents.xlsx(mentioned in your textbook on page 184). They are attached with this assignment and you should use these two data files here rather than using the ones in Blackboard'sStart Here and Syllabuslink.
Complete Case 1's Tasks 1-6 only. Task 7 is not required!
Start with the attached databaseFireIncidents.accdb. You will first need to unzip it and this is a fairly large file so it may take a couple of minutes or even more (depending on Internet speed, etc.), so be patient as the database file unzips and downloads.Once you have the Access file (the database) open and displayed on the screen, follow the steps in your textbook starting with page 183 and continuing through page 187 (tasks 1-6).
Then, do only the first part of Assignment #3 on pages XXXXXXXXXXto create the spreadsheetFire_Incidents_Analysis.xlsx, as shown in Figure 11-9 on page 188.
(Task 7 is not needed but if you feel like doing it (optional) just mention that you have done it without providing any evidence that you have done it. I will not discuss Task 7 and I will not include it in the assignment grade either.)
You will need to submit evidence that you have completed everything asked above as seen below.
Submit your completed assignment via Blackboard. This assignment should consist of:

- Relating to your FireIncidents.accdb databas, pleasealsoattach a separate MS Word document with screenshotsand descriptions. Your screenshots should show me what you have done, like a screenshot of the design of each query. Please do not include screenshots of your lengthy Datasheet Views, just include their Design Views! Your descriptions should be just some titles to label them, likeQuery 1,Query 2, etc. Instuctions on how to access files and ebook will be attached after quote. This assignment should take less than an hour and a half for someone experienced in excel and access.
