You report to her as a health care professional helping her with discharge planning. In this paper, you will detail:

• all the options available based on his condition and her ability as a single, working woman to care for him

In case of caring for long term care for stroke patient who is paralyzed also, there is a need
for maintaining caring and healthy safe conditions. It requires proper structure of health care
facilities depending on the circumstances and the ability of the patient’s family member to
care for the patient. There are few centres also for long term care for stroke patients and
paralyzed persons who are on wheelchair. Being the working women, it would be best to
send her father to the rehabilitation centre which would be better for both of them. This is
ecause providing adequate and intense care at home for stroke patients actually takes lot of
time and work and thus requires one full-time care taker.
The disability arises in any part of the body usually on the side opposite to the damaged side
of the
ain due to stroke which might strongly affect the body of the patient. This one sided
paralytic situation is called as hemiparesis which makes it difficult for the patient to stay
alone whole day and to do his own daily activities such as walking and sitting on the bed.
Therefore, in order to provide proper care and attention to her father it would be best to hire a
nurse for him so that his needs and requirements can be helped out.
For assisted care for stroke patients there are facilities provided which includes residential
care as well. These kinds of services are paid on the basis of services provided as per the
given settings of these institutions such as that of Assisted living facilities (ALF’s) which
follow regulations by the states as well. Nursing under ALFs involves light services such as
that of providing insulin injection to the patient, administration of giving regular and on time
medicines and also keeping a track over the essential and vital statistics of the patient nearly
24*7. Hence, medical dispensation and meal provisions to the patients on three times basis
per day are usual activities of ALFs services for long term care patients.
