The circulatory cycle of generating revenue through services provided by the healthcare 
organization refers to the management of the revenue cycle. The revenue collected, managed 
and preserved for the on-going functions by the administration and to perform the functions 
through its clinical approaches are the basic functions of revenue cycle management 
department. For this, generally healthcare organization maintains the account of the patient 
for financial flow management. In order to keep the track of the flow of revenue by following 
the various steps of revenue collection such as billing the patient are being followed and then 
the problems in the entire revenue cycle management are identified. The entire cycle of 
managing the revenue includes all the financial issues related with the collection of money 
from the patient such as the implementation of the rules for claims of patient’s health 
insurance and also using ICD-10 for codification of payment collection through proper 
channels (Rappleye, 2017). 
There are few problems which add to the already existing challenges and complexities of the 
revenue cycle management in healthcare. These include adequacy of revenue collection by 
the hospitals from their patients and the problems faced by the patients to get their claims
