Why you aspire to be a healthcare supervisor   
Introduction 
The U.S. contributes more to health care compared to other developed countries (Kaiser Family 
Foundation, 2009). Health care professionals perform different roles like management of a health 
facility or supervision of a department in a facility. Irrespective of the role that a healthcare 
supervisor performs, it is vital for them to possess specific skills and qualities in health 
management.  
Qualifications 
Currently, I am in the final year of my course in healthcare management and I hope to 
complete my bachelor’s degree in healthcare management by end of next spring. 
Strengths 
I have good staff selection and administration skills and can take responsibility for their 
work. I can manage daily operational concerns and use statistical information for performance 
measurement and improvement. I have experience in attending meetings, report creation and 
presentation delivery and enjoyed good credibility with clinical and other staff. I have knowledge 
of facility management like housekeeping, catering, security, procurement and contract 
management.
