Much of what was discussed in the article is applied to creating workflows in a team setting, management has a Quality improvement idea, and the team comes up with ideas on how to carry it out, tracking, barriers, and finally adopting the idea and creating a workflow to improve the quality of care that is delivered. One example of the QI process is tracking for HPV vaccines, HPV is linked to cervical cancer, vaccinating is important as it lowers the risk, capturing the patient population to be vaccinated is necessary, engaging the team and creating a work process helps the team improve quality of care. When staff is engaged the change and the needs are much better understood and supported, therefore carried out.2nd students discussionThe front line staff can be engaged into QI programs by working as a team so the work can be distributed equally. Managers should clearly communicate to staff on what they expect. Staff members should also communicate with each other on a regular bases about qualitative improvements. Giving feedback will help employees do a good job in areas where they need to improve. Staff should be provided with full support and understanding. Rewards should be given to employees for their efforts and improvements. This will let staff members know that their efforts are not in vain and appreciated. This encourages them to work hard and think outside the box. It will be helpful to know new ideas that are innovative to improve the organization.
