WAVE SCHEDULING: In this type of scheduling, multiple appointments are scheduled together and then, the patients are attended on a first come, first served basis. In this scheduling, sometimes the severely ill patients are consulted before the regular patients.
MODIFIED WAVE SCHEDULING: In modified wave scheduling, about two to three patients are scheduled in the first half of an hour which is followed by a single appointment for every 20-30 minutes during rest of the hour.
