Yes, Indeed I agree with you, strategy is a broad level plan which is focused on overall organisation and has a long-term prospective. Essentially, strategy both an art and science by the virtue of which senior leaders are able to plan and direct action that can help an organisation crave its niche and drive results. Yes, it is a long-range plan that takes into consideration at least 5-7 years to generate concrete results. While on the other operational planning are short-term in nature and intends to generate instant results. The scope of operational planning is also very specific to certain departments. I feel operational plan are more tactical in nature where we are more aligned towards output. I agree with you, operational planning complements overall strategy and both are essential for success of business.
