1.Introduction 
This paper is based on St. Timothy’s Health Care System. I have been working there as 
Director for continuing care services by developing an information system which will help in 
tracking clients over certain period of time. Information system can be defined as a system 
which will help in organizing and analyzing data for carrying out further communication. In 
this paper, being director the basis components which are essential for the system have been 
explained. The challenges and barriers that can be anticipated which can be encountered in 
planning and implementing the system has been highlighted in this paper. The first steps 
which have been taken by me for designing this system have been described. In this paper, 
recent external development’s to enhance and impede my project are explained in a detail 
manner.  
2. Basic components essential to the system 
The basic components which are essential to the system for developing information system to 
track clients over time and place are hardware, software, database, network and people. 
Hardware is essential component of Information system such as monitor, keyboard, printer, 
routers and etc which will be playing a vital role for St. Timothy’s Health Care System to 
manage flow of information. Software are such written programs which will be playing an 
important role in transmitting data inform of information will flow of hardware in a smooth 
manner(Yusuf, M. O.   2005). Data are such which helps in functioning software by 
carrying out set of instructions in a regular manner for flowing information to develop a 
proper information system inform of paragraphs, texts, figures, image and graphics. The 
network resources are such as internets, extranets and intranets which are used for managing 
information system in a fundamental manner.
