Evaluate the relationship between federal and state policies and how they impact the 
management process of these continuum care services. 
The Federal and state along with local governments try their level best to implement health 
care service in all segment of the society. The challenge for such policy is the structure of 
both Federal and State implementing tools. Federal government tries to maintain the financial 
support but actual implementation and introduction of such policies are taken by state 
enterprises at the ground level (Leslie, 2016). The appearance of distortion in all kinds of 
decision making begins when the implementation comes under too many rules and regulation 
barrier. Control of health programmes are slowly pushed to the state units and that left the 
central health units under severe constraints. Shifting of responsibility between federal and 
state is the character that we get to see now and there is no clear policy to implement these 
across all states as each of the policies followed by states lack uniformity.  
Discuss the roles of federal and state governmental regulations on long-term care for 
elderly and disabled. 
There is provision from federal and state to regulate and address quality health care for 
elderly and disabled, but each of these regulators have their own areas of concern and rules to 
protect their constituents. Most of the regulations for long term health care services originate 
from federal level.
