Assessment Details:
The purpose of a poster is to provide a visual summary of student’s ideas that outlines key message
or argument as well as the key points or proposal. A poster uses very few words with appropriate
visuals and graphics.
In this assessment, the students have to prepare a poster to present a message in a recent topic in IT
Infrastructure. The poster should have clear structure and layout to support that message.
The student has to conduct simple research to study the following topics in IT infrastructure:
• Identify and classify the different components used in building an IT infrastructure.
• The use of virtualization and Cloud computing to provide IT infrastructure solution to the
organizations.
• Illustrate dynamic scaling of applications with the support of Cloud computing.
• Demonstrate the security issues related to the use of Cloud as an IT infrastructure solution.
• Critique the role and responsibility of an IT infrastructure manager in an organization that
use different types of IT services including virtualization and Cloud.
Prepare a poster to demonstrate your ideas in range of visual techniques such as illustrations,
diagrams, a
ows or flow charts and cues such as bullet points, colour and design.
Poster Development and Submission
• Use any application software you are familiar with in the development of your poster, such
as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, or any
other software.
• Set your poster page size to A3 and develop your poster.
• Submit the PDF format file version of your poster at OLS.

For successful completion of this assessment, you require to study the material provided (lecture
slides, tutorials, and reading materials), engage in the unit’s activities, and in the discussion forums.
The prescribed textbook is the main reference along with the recommended reading material. In
completing this assessment successfully, you will be able to effectively to develop a visual summary
of IT infrastructure services and requirements. which will help in achieving ULO-3, ULO-4, ULO-5, ULO-
6 and ULO-7, this will enable you to achieve CLO-1, and CLO-7 and all collectively with other unit
learning outcomes will help in achieving GA2.
