While analysing the position of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) on migration, refugees, and asylum seekers we can understand that The Committee on Migration of the USCCB has asked Congress to support our financial goals for programmes that benefit immigrants, refugees, asylees, and asylum seekers (Davis et al 2011, p.250). In the year 2018, Catholic bishops stated that asylum rules introduced by the former president Donald J Trump is immoral and the government is not providing any support to the refugees, migrants and other related people. Unity in diversity is the mission of the catholic bishops and they welcome the new immigrants and refugees who come to the US. As per the report of the United States Catholic Conference (2000), the number and diversity of immigrants a
iving in the United States have posed a significant challenge for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops over the last 35 years. United States Conference of Catholic Bishops welcoming people our all cultures refugees, and asylum seekers and they help them to join to become part of the community (United States Catholic Conference 2020, p.3).
United States Conference of Catholic Bishops considers migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers are the people who required support and more care. United States Conference of Catholic Bishops implemented different programs and activities for protecting migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. United States Catholic Conference (2000) report clearly states that United States Catholic Conference oppose the anti-immigrant mentality that has gained popularity in some regions of the country (United States Catholic Conference 2000, p.5). The church is open to all the people, especially, refugees, and asylum seekers, if they want to hear the Gospel and if they required any support, bishops are ready to do it. United States Catholic Conference also requested the support of the people in the country for helping and managing the issues faced by the migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
