Presentation
Your assessment should be submitted in either MS Word or PDF format (PDF usually preserves the formatting, MS Word may not - submit ONLY one). Do not submit your assignment in any other format and also do not submit multiple copies of the assessment. Use A4 page size with Times New Roman/Arial/Cali
i font and use font size 11 or 12. Please include a title, your student ID and name with your submission. Your name should also be included as a footnote, with page numbers in your document. The Assignment should be submitted on Turnitin.
References - You MUST use the CSU APA referencing style for all cited material you have used in your work (use in-text citations). You must use primary sources (ie Wikipedia is not acceptable, something you thought up yourself, because you think you know better, is also unacceptable - unless it has been published and peer reviewed, but then it would still need to be cited). All answers must be written in your own words. Copying sections of text from other sources, even if referenced, is plagiarism and is considered Academic Misconduct.
Requirements
To complete this assessment item, you should have completed the Cisco Introduction to Packet Tracer course and read chapters 1 to 8 of the textbook.

Business Intelligence in IoT
Abstract
IoT or the Internet of Things is an emerging concept that refers to an infrastructure of connected sensors and actuators. Such infrastructure is suitable for exchanging and sharing of data. Sensors are embedded with physical objects, wearable devices, vehicles and so on. Other than the sensors, a smart object contains actuators, electronic component, power source, and software component. However, most of the smart objects have very limited computing capacity and limited power source. Hence, the objects are mostly used for data collection and communicating with other nodes in a network or to a server for storing the data. Each smart object is identifiable. The identification is done by the embedded software part and the communication module. It allows the devices to stay connected to the Internet. IoT objects are controlled remotely through a network or the Internet. It allows an integration of computing systems with the physical world. Business Intelligence or BI tools can be integrated with the cyber physical systems developed on an IoT infrastructure. It will help to find more valuable information generated by the IoT systems. An explosive growth of the number of smart objects is expected in near future. And the global market value from IoT is also expected to be trillions of dollars. Hence, there is tremendous opportunities for businesses to leverage the market value of IoT. At the same time, businesses need to focus on adapting the new technology to drive their businesses towards new horizons. In this paper, the scope of the integration of IoT and BI along with the challenges related to the integration have been covered. There are issues and challenges related to the security and privacy, data protection, availability, quality and reliability of the outcomes processed from the IoT systems generated data and so on. The paper has a detailed discussion on the BI and IoT related technologies, analytics and then it has covered the integration of these two technologies, the benefits and issues, and the future scope of the integration. The focus will be given on the challenges and possible solutions found from the previous works on the BI and IoT solutions. It will also cover other emerging technologies like cloud computing and big data as these are the driving forces behind IoT.
Introduction
The topic of this paper is ‘Business Intelligence and IoT or the Internet of Things’. Other than lifestyle enhancements of people, the IoT can redefine almost every industry. For the businesses and the corporate world, IoT can help to win competitive advantages by helping the businesses to get information about their markets, customers and competitors. Sensors and wireless networks are the key component of an IoT framework. Organizations can use IoT applications for collecting data using sensors, other equipment or smart objects.
On the other hand, BI...
