LO1 Professional conduct

What key attributes will you bring to the profession?

The events at Mid staffs which formed the basis for Francis report showed system wide failures across an entire organisation, how do you think this happened?

You are working together with another member of staff to provide personal care to a patient. You both have different views on how the personal care should be carried out. Could you explain your thought process on how you would handle this situation?

If a health professional was looking after you or a relative, how would you expect them to conduct themselves in the way they behave and how they present themselves to you?

Professional bodies for health professional usually produce a code of conduct. What are the benefits for this and what would happen if there was not a code of conduct?

What is the professional conduct expected of you as a student nurse for you to be fit to practice?
