An important event which led up to the opening of the University of Arizona
Back in 1885, the relationship between the tribes and the university started while the funds were provided by the Arizona legislature for a university in Tucson (Mitchell, 1985). University that they planned was supposed to be a university that is land-granted and being the part of being in land grant, United Airlines has been associated in research, teaching as well as service from its first admission of students involving the Indian peoples in Arizona and Indian tribes (Fox, Stauss & Low, 2002).
