'Giovanni's Room' is a novel written by the author James Baldwin in the year 1956 which focuses on the events of the life of a man named David living in Paris. The story revolves around the feelings and frustrations of the man with his relationships with other men in life. Among those men, a specific name that stands out is Giovanni, whom he meets at a Parisian gay bar. In that story, one of the most interesting characters is Hella who is the fiancé of David the protagonist of the story. Hella provides a unique perspective in the novel mostly about men. She is portrayed as a woman of contradicting beliefs who has certain viewpoints, which contradict with her other views.
