Healthcare Policies in relevance to Access, Quality, Cost and Equity
In US, healthcare policies, related to accessibility is that, only the US citizens would be able to access healthcare facilities (Ramamonjiarivelo, 2016). Quality of care is never compromised; however, there is no policy for cost reduction because healthcare service sector is privatized in US. Therefore, it becomes unaffordable to others from economically backward background and those, who are not US citizens, thus, causing disparity as well as lack of equity (Ramamonjiarivelo, 2016).
Reason for Absence of Such Policies
The lack of equal healthcare facilities for everyone shows that there are no such policies currently existing for everyone, addressing access, quality, cost and equity. According to Paxton et al. (2015),
