Saving Energy in Today’s World means we are protecting ourselves from the wrath of climate change and
indirectly we are saving our wealth. Use of energy in any form produces Heat, Pollution and other harmful substances
which are directly responsible for various types of diseases, for Global warming etc. Energy Conservation is an important
step to protect our fossil fuels for future because most of the countries in the world are using these sources to produce
energy which further results in degradation of environment and By the excessive use of Energy resources, we are also
forcing our future generation towards that period where there will be no Fuel left for Energy generation and Economies
will start Collapsing due to energy Crisis. Most importantly energy conservation measures changes with respect to time
accordingly.
There is various Numbers of ways to Reduce Buildings Energy loads such as;
 The analysis clearly shows that use of energy efficient light bulbs such as CFL’s in case of Incandescent lamps
have the largest potential of saving energy in General Household as well as In Commercial Buildings.
 Since most part of the total energy consumption is utilized for Heating and Cooling system of the Commercial
Buildings as well as in Residential areas , Hence we need to take care of the refrigeration such use of Energy
Efficient Air conditioners and Refrigerators can save a lot amount of energy.
 By the use of outside Air for cooling purposes in the intermediate season can save energy.
 Temperature of the room can be controlled automatically with the use of thermostat which can sense the
occupancy of the room or building and acts accordingly.
 No of Elevators installed in the buildings should be operated according to the rush, such during peak hours we
can operate all the elevators but during other times we can reduce the number of functioning elevators which
can save lot energy.
 A lot part of energy can be saved with controlling lighting systems used in buildings. Automatic lights can be
installed within the buildings which will switch on only the when someone is there, or we can also take care of.
Use of thermostat for Heating and Cooling System to Conserve Energy
Since Heating and cooling systems of the buildings forms an essential part of the electricity bill or the energy
loads. Various Organization and Companies are not doing anything to reduce their energy loads although they are
installing costly solar panels and ground water head pumps.
Actually if we do not reduce our energy load then we are not able to cu
CO2 emission because every type
energy produces CO2 and polluters in various forms. In today’s world’s most of the part of the office space also consists
of Markets, Restaurants, Parking area and Common area etc, all are centrally air conditioned, Hence we...
