2. Assessment Feedback
Feedback on items of assessment can be formal (such as on a signed feedback form) or informal (such as advice from a tutor in a tutorial). Feedback is therefore not just your grade or the comments written on your feedback form, it is advice you get from your tutor and sometimes your peers about how your work is progressing, how well you have done, what further actions you might take.
Formative assessment is employed to support your learning on the module, allowing you to reflect on feedback on your progress from your tutors and peers. It takes a variety of forms including workshop exercises and one to one tutorials. It does not contribute to the final mark. You will also complete a Practice Assessment contributing to your overall assessment of practice. The assessment in practice will be the completion of competencies and a written reflective log. This will reflect the fact that you are undertaking a work-based learning programme. Submission of PAREs should be on the first working day after the allocation ends. This is a Sunday so the next working day is submission date, unless the student requests and extension as per assessment guideline and submits an extension request form.
