  • The three leaders I would like to discuss are:
  • Sir Ahmadu Bellowas the Sardauna of Sokoto and Premier of Northern Nigeria. Amongst his admirable leadership qualities is the enforcement of unity amongst the numerous religious and ethnic groups (over 200) under his leadership, because he strongly believed that power was best shared across regions rather than a particular region or clan of elites feeling its their ‘birth right’. Unity brings about sharing of ideas, innovation and improvement in an organization (Hunter, XXXXXXXXXXHe was a patriotic leader and played a major role in the realization of the country’s independence in 1960. He believed in hard work, and always rewarded excellence without bias, always set priorities and goals. Sir Ahmadu constantly evaluated all government officials and policies, and his exemplary personality with honesty, humility, prudence and transparency in expending public funds (Sir Ahmadu Bello Foundation, 2013).
  • Mahatma Gandhia great leader who inspired many others. Gandhi had a style of leadership known as the “servant leadership”, characterized by voluntary subordination, authenticity, responsible morality, sense of mission and a transforming influence on others. His style of leadership was empowering to his subordinates, was a great mentor with good vision and open-mindedness, a good listener who was always learning and improving him and followers (Barnabas & Clifford, XXXXXXXXXXThis is a good quality necessary in the very dynamic health sector. He was a transformational leader.
  • In conclusion, health is a ‘total package’ that is concerned with more than just physical well being of people. Therefore, management in the health sector emphasizes on meeting objectives on policies to improve the ‘total package’ including social and mental wellbeing. For this to be achieved, there is need forsynergy between the three knowledge domains (Hunter, 2007).

Leader impacts the performance of the organization by influencing the
employees and the way they work in the organization (Hunter 2007); given
analysis describes the qualities of different leaders and how it influence the
outcome.
The leadership style of Arsene Wenger helped in understanding that a
leader can motivate the employees to work under difficult circumstances also.
For instance, public health organizations also face huge difficulties in
managing resources; healthcare staff also has to manage difficult work
schedules and the scenario get worse during crisis and emergency
management periods (Teelken, et al., 2013). During such difficult scenario,
motivating leadership style by providing necessary training to the employees
