Tawny’s Stock Market Project Directions
I am giving you $100k or 100,000 hypothetically
Can buy one stock or as many as you would like
I will charge you a $10 commission
For example if you buy 10 Shares of Apple the cost will be $10
If you buy one share of Apple the cost will be $10
I would like for you to liquidate (sell) your stock or stocks before the deadline to figure out the profit
If you sell one share of stock $10
If you sell 10 shares of stock commission $10
Example of profit
Bought 8 shares of Apple on 11/17/14 at $113.87 = 8 x $113.87 = $ XXXXXXXXXX = $920.96
$910.96 + $10 commission = $920.96 total cost
If you sold 8 shares on 1/19/18. The price when the market closed was $178.43 = Receive 8 shares x 178.43 = $1,427.44
However, you also lost or had to pay a $10.00 commission = $1,427.44 – 10.00 = $1,417.44
Paid $920.96 including commission
Received $1,417.44 including commission
$1, XXXXXXXXXXwhat you received) - $ XXXXXXXXXXwhat you paid) = Profit or Loss = Profit $ 496.48
