Standards of practice are the “how-to” of the discipline or legal agreement. They include policy statements, standards of practice, standard operating procedures, practice protocols and procedures.
The main purpose of practice standards is to direct and maintain safe and competent best practice. These standards are important to our profession because they promote and guide our best practice.
Examples of Exemplary Professional Conduct:

The Five Steps to Promote Health and Safety:

Care standards have a role in ensuring that community centre: promote the mental health of clients, provide appropriate care and treatment for clients with complex needs, and access primary and secondary care health services regularly.
Legislative Landscape

Consultation
Successful best practice involves consultation and cooperation with all parties involved, including managers, employees and any employee representatives.
Consultation may take the form of:
establishment of employers, employees and employee representative committees
egular staff meetings and communication with employees
egular performance and training reviews
egular written communications such as newsletters
encouragement of employee feedback on business and administrative decisions.
When consulting in the workplace, remember to respect everybody’s opinions and backgrounds. We must take into account about cultural and language differences, and make sure that everybody understands the consultation process.

Ways to support workers at work:
Open Communication - it helps build a relationship and can inspire teamwork. Good communication can be established through greetings and trying to acknowledge each other, listening, and paying attention to what others say and showing respect by considering boundaries and be conscious of the behaviour when having communication.
Recognize their challenges – Trying to help the staff or workers when they are struggling and dealing with challenges through observation and awareness in the su
oundings.
Provide adequate resources and training – help them to identify room for advancement so there’s a development of skills and progress.
Volunteer your time – Offer some help to complete the tasks. However, if the organization policy does not permit, just showing moral support will let them feel they are being acknowledge.
Build a relationship - Take the time to learn about everyone’s interests, since these can be topics to talk about when establishing daily communication. Try to be friendly and be aware of professional boundaries so that they can establish a collaborative working environment.
Offer praise - You can praise your colleagues for minor accomplishments to boost their confidence and show that you appreciate them.
Inspire positivity - Inspire positivity in the workplace by maintaining a friendly attitude. Your good mood may encourage a colleague's mood, and this can help improve the overall work environment.
Respect – this can be earned through empathy, compassion and trust.
