‘Acquainted with the Night’ is a poem written by Robert Frost. This poem was first published in 1928 in his collection ‘West – Running Brook’. Frost gives sadness and darkness in this poem. This poem is written in 14 lines like in sonnets. The rhyme scheme followed here is terza rima, which means third rhyme. Frost has followed a rhyme scheme of aba bcb cdc dad aa. To follow terza rima is a rather challenging to apply in a poem and is found more in Italian poems than in English. Frost had a profound ability of writing versatile.
