Requirements & report structure
Reference sources from general websites are not acceptable.
At least six (6) credible references must be used and at least three (3) of these must be from
academic (scholarly) journals. The remaining three (3) may be from industry magazines or books.
The references can be from printed or online sources and must be cu
ent (i.e. within the last seven
(7) years). You can use material from organisational web sites as an example to support your
arguments but it is not counted towards the references’ quota (i.e., 6 references).
You are to complete the tasks listed at the end of the case study and submit your answers as a
eport (3000 words, excluding executive summary and reference list).
For report, create a WORD file to develop your report and include the following:
Title page (no borders or frames, required details include a suitable report title, assignment title,
your name, student number, course code and title, and due date)
Executive summary (
iefly describe the purpose of the report and the date on which it was
equested, a
ief summary of your major findings, conclusions, and recommendations.)
Table of contents (use the feature in WORD for auto generated TOC, the headings ‘Title page’,
‘Executive summary’ and ‘Table of contents’ and also the individual headings on the title page
should not appear in the table of contents that is generated.)
Introduction (identify the purpose of the report and what you will be discussing within the report.)
Discussion (This is the main body of the report, after ‘Introduction’ and before ‘Conclusion’
headings. This is where you will present the arguments for your recommendations. You will need to
consider headings and sub‐headings, as many as your discussion requires, between ‘Introduction’
and ‘Conclusion’, using WORD heading styles to guide your discussion to answer the tasks listed for
the case study. You will need to determine in which order you present your material. You should not
include the tasks, but a discussion about those issues that have been highlighted in the tasks.)
Conclusion (a very
ief summary of your judgement)
Recommendations (after discussion and analysis, state explicitly what your recommendations are)
References, a complete reference list at the end of the report using Harvard referencing style
Headers (only include as centred, and as right aligned)
Footers (only include as left aligned, and as right
aligned)
Header and footer should start from the page containing ‘Introduction’ heading.
Paragraph formatting (should be left aligned, single spaced and 6 pt space after each paragraph.)

Headings and sub‐headings should not be in number or bullet style.
‘Title page’ ‘Executive summary’, and ‘Table of contents’ should be on separate pages.
‘Introduction’ heading should start from a new page and after that there should not be any white
space (blank line spaces) between headings.
‘References’ heading should start on a new page and references should be in alphabetical order by
authors.
References, under the ‘References’ heading, should not be numbered or have bullets.

Notes:
In report, marks will be awarded based on content that constitutes your work in terms of argument
development.
Avoid discussing specific hardware and software requirements.
Make any assumptions that you find necessary; however, be sure to state your assumptions within
the report.
There is no co
ect solution for the report. It is possible for students to make different
ecommendations. What is crucial is that the argument presented is logical and consistent, and
clearly demonstrates that the organisation’s needs are met, and that the tasks, in the case, have
een addressed.

Note particularly: The work submitted must be in your own words. Lengthy quotes, even if
eferenced co
ectly, are not considered to be your own work

Apart from these legal ba

a.
Key Decision to Become Successful Entrepreneu
Leadership of the founder and the co-founder of an organisation play a vital role in the success of an emerging start-up, as this is a crucial stage for any start-up (McMullen, 2019). At the time of inception, various crucial decisions are taken by the founder’s and at the early growing stage. The success of any emerging start-up always depends on the leadership of the founder and co-founders of the start-up. Key decisions to be taken by the founders and co-founders are as follows:
Fund Raising:. The priority decision, to be taken by the founders, is to list down the fundraising sources for starting the company and to make it operational. These sources may be internal or external. The decision needs to be made by the founders of the company regarding the fund to be a
anged through the internal source i.e. the founders will share the capital of the company, or they will go for external resources i.e. they will a
ange a capital for the company externally. This is the most important decision to be taken, before they start their operations of the company.
Mode of Promotions: Promotion helps the company to reach the target market and influence them to become the customers of the company, decision-making regarding promoting the products and services and the mode of promotion plays a very vital role. There are many ways to promote the products and services of the company, if it needs to be done using print media then the management may go for posters, business cards, newspapers etc. At the initial stage of the promotion, these tools may be very effective and cost efficient as well. Therefore, it depends on the company whether to go for normal means of promotion or to be aggressive in this activity.
Product Pricing: One of the most crucial decision to be taken by the company is deciding the pricing of the product. Therefore, this decision of pricing needs to be taken by the management considering various factors such as mode of payment by the customer, target market, cost incu
ed in product and services, operational and fixed cost and others. This will help the management in developing the pricing strategy for the products and services to attract more customers. Pricing analysis can also be done by the company to identify the price that the customer is willing to pay for similar products in the market while keeping the cost into consideration.
Product Updates: Management needs to have an update on the business environment, as the business market has become very dynamic (Marvel, Davis & Sproul, 2016). The company needs to update themselves regarding the technologies and the types of products and services to be available for the customers; The R&D department needs to work on the research and development part to upgrade the products and services to maintain USP of the company and competition in the market.
Target Market Identification: According to the products and services, the company is dealing with the management needs to specify the target audience for their offerings. This target market will help the organisation to identify their wants and needs to take necessary decisions during product development.
The above key decision points need to be taken care of by the company providing 3D application services to succeed being a start-up. The information needed to make them a successful entrepreneur.
Information Required for Taking Decisions
Successful decisions are taken by considering various sources of information, which are as follows:
Information about the business plan: A detailed plan and a normal plan differs from each other in terms of figures and proper facts, which also contains plan analysis, which considers all the scenarios for the business and this helps the company to be on the path of success. In-depth research about the idea of the business and the business plan is one of the important factors to be considered for entrepreneur success.
Information about the target market: As noted by Pollack et al. (2019), deciding the...
